Premier League Match Day 3- Top 6 Preview

Here is the latest of our Premier League top 6 match previews. Match day 2 was dominated by the two Manchester clubs, albeit for very different reasons. Manchester City put in a brilliant display and completely destroyed Huddersfield, whilst United had a disappointing loss away to Brighton. Most onlookers would have thought though, that the performance was even more disappointing than the result. So what will match day 3 bring us?

Wolves v Man City

On paper this should be a very one-sided affair. Newly promoted Wolves up against the ultra dominant Manchester City. I've not seen anything this season to suggest this will be anything other than a straightforward away win.
However, this is not any newly promoted side, this is Wolves and they have spent a lot of money over the summer with the express aim of being able to compete in the Premier League. I have a feeling that this weekend might be the moment Wolves make their mark. I think it will be backs against the wall for Wolves but ultimately a frustrating afternoon for City.
Score prediction:2-2

Arsenal v West Ham

Both teams have new managers in place and a number of new players that they are bedding in to the team. Both teams are trying to adopt new styles of play and both teams are yet to pick up a point.
At the moment West Ham are just too open and I think that gives Arsenal's great attack too much opportunity to punish them. I can see goals but I think Arsenal ease themselves to their first three points of the season.
Score prediction:4-1

Liverpool v Brighton

Liverpool have started the season well and look like they could be City's closest rivals for the title, so they will fancy themselves at home to Brighton to wrap up all three points. This though, is Brighton who just out fought and out played Manchester United, admittedly United were very lacklustre. You can expect  Beighon to roll into town full of confidence and Chris Hughton to have set them up really well.
I just can't see  Brighton scoring and I can see Liverpool creating good chances. I think Liverpool will run out easy winners
Score prediction:3-0

Newcastle v Chelsea

This is actually a bit of a bogey fixture for Chelsea, especially since ex-manager Rafa Benitez took the Geordies over.
Sarri won't care about previous results though and will demand the three points, he certainly has the momentum and the personnel to get three points but Rafa is a wily old fox.
As usual under Mike Ashley, Newcastle have left their manager high and dry in terms of spending money on new signings but Benitez 's know how will keep them in the Premier League. I think today's match will be too big of an ask.
Score prediction: 0-1

Manchester United  v Spurs

This is the biggest match of the weekend and after their awful performance and result against Brighton, Mourinho will be demanding an immediate response. United have a great home record against Spurs and will be looking to get the win. I felt that as well as looking rusty, Lukaku looked very isolated i wonder if Mourinho will tweak the system or personnel to get someone playing nearer him. Although they didn't buy anyone in the Summer, Spurs have a great starting eleven. I really feel they should start Moussa Dembele, he would give them a foothold in the game.
Ultimately I think both managers will be disappointed.
Score prediction:2-2
