Brazil vs Mexico preview

Big teams are dropping like flies, whether in a flurry of goals, the heartbreak of  penalties or the soul destroying numbness of playing badly, (Germany I'm looking at you), Argentina, Germany, Portugal and Spain have all left the party early.
Next up its the bookies pre tournament favourites Brazil.
Brazil have been efficient without being spectacular. They have a very good goalkeeper and defence, at left back Marcelo has curved some of his suicidal attacking tendencies. Their holding midfielders have been very disciplined but it is Coutinho that has been their stand out star. Neymar gets the headlines but it is Coutinho's brilliance that has won them games.
Mexico have been one of the surprise packages of the tournament. They have been, fast, clever and extremely hard working. They repeatedly cut Germany open in their first game. Germany had the majority of the possession but it suited Mexico's style and players to play on the counter.
In today's match expect Brazil to dominate possession and Mexico to try to put their intuitive, counter attacking football to good use.
This will be a step too far for Mexico though and although the score may be close, in all reality the game won't.
I can only see a Brazil win.

Final score prediction: 2-1

Odds:  Brazil 4/9   Draw  3/1   Mexico  6/1

Best  bet:   FIFA Man of the match- Phillips Coutinho
