“I definitely feel I am back " - Arsenal playmaker's deliver latest update on injury woes

After taking a man of the match performance in Arsenal's 4-2 win over BATE Borisov, Arsenal's Jack Wilshere has set his sights on a new contract.

The Arsenal No. 10 was outstanding for his side in their Europa League matchday 2 trip to Belarus.

He set up Theo Walcott for the opening goal and provided several opportunities throughout the game.

Injuries have shortened Wilshere's career since he arrived on the season in 2008. However, he looked to have shaken all that off with a brilliant season's long-loan at AFC Bournemouth, before he fractured his leg in April.

Nevertheless, the 25-year-old is determined to put the past behind him and earn himself a new spot at the Emirates.

Jack Wilshere said via The Mirror: “I definitely feel I am back,” People say it’s a long road but it was four months and I have had longer than that before. I feel good.

“People sometimes forget things in football. Last season I had a full season. Whether people think I did well or not I had a full season, and only picked up an impact injury at the end of the season.

“That was unfortunate timing but throughout my rehab it went well. I felt good coming back to Arsenal and into training and the boss has been good. He has been speaking to me, been patient and I feel good.”

Jack Wilshere has entered the final year of his current deal with the Gunners but wants to remain at the club.

“Do I see myself staying? Of course I do,” he said. “I have always been at Arsenal, I love this club.

They have been good to me over the years, I have a great relationship with the boss. He has played me since I was 17. He has put his trust in me since then. We have a great understanding and of course I want to stay.
