Report: £54m Madrid Star reveals Arsenal are set to pay his wages

Arsenal top target Alvaro Morata is reportedly using the interest from his Premier League suitors to show himself as an improved pay rise at Real Madrid.

The Spaniard was recently bought back from Juventus by the Los Blancos, who are now in the process of deciding his future, in hopeful of cashing in for his services looking tempting.

Reports from the Spanish newspaper AS said that the Gunners are willing to pay the striker £9million a year if he will be willing to come to the Emirates Stadium and become a Gunner, which is sending a big statement over to the Champions League winners.

According to a report from AS, Morata and his representatives are looking to improve his current earnings of £65,000 a week, as well as assurances over his position, which out rightly Arsenal has provided.

It’s believed if the youngster choose to stay at Madrid then he’d be forced to play in the shadow of first choice striker Karim Benzema, who isn’t going anywhere fast as long as Zinedine Zidane remains at Santiago Bernabeu.

That’s a pretty difficult factor for Morata to swallow considering the success he’s recently had in the Euro’s that has been crucial in alerting several European clubs to his availability.

Despite the fact that Arsenal has been strongly linked with the Spaniard, they face stiff competition from London rival Chelsea who are known never to be satisfied with their attacking options, especially with new boss Antonio Conte in charge.

Real Madrid had to splash out £25million to get Morata back after he spent two years at Juventus, and now they could be ready to sell him on for double that figure in order to fund big money moves.

The Emirates outfit will certainly have their fingers crossed but the feeling we get from this update is that Morata is ready to step up and challenge for a regular spot in the Galacticos.
