Done Deal: £26.3m Playmaker to set undergo Man Utd Medicals

According to reports from TeamTalk, Henrikh Mkhitaryan is reportedly set to undergo his medical with Manchester United today, ahead of £26.3 million move from the German Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund.

The Arbenian playmaker has been strongly linked with a move to Arsenal and Manchester United this summer which completion for his signature later turns into the Red Devils favour after reports suggested he refused to sign a new contract with Dortmund, the Arbenian has since been trying to force his way out of the club in recent weeks.

After extensive negotiations, BVB finally agreed to cash-in when there was confirmation on their website over the weekend that they had reached an agreement with the Red Devils to sell the 27-year-old Arbenian to the Old Trafford.

However, the Red Devils are yet to release an official statement on their website at to the signing the Arbenian but the club new manager Jose Mourinho hinted in his press conference yesterday that a deal was on the cards for him. The Portuguese has already signed Eric Bailly and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

TeamTalk are reporting that a deal could still be wrapped up before the end of this week and there are also reports that Mkhitaryan will later be due at Carrington to undergo his medical having already agreed personal terms ahead of his £26.3 million move.

The Armenian international will perfectly be an excellent addition to the Red Devils team as he’s proven to be one of the best attacking midfielder in world football over the past few years while he was playing for both Shakhtar Donetsk and Borussia Dortmund.

He amassed 11 goals and 15 assists in 31 Bundesliga appearances under Thomas Tuchel last season.

The London club could certainly do with this sort of productivity in attack after only scoring 49 Premier League goals last season. However, his presence at the Old Trafford will also raise further doubts over the future of Juan Mata.
