Arsenal set to land 20-goals super star - reports

Having a quick look through the newspaper shows the Robin van Persie is now being link with a shock return to the Emirates Stadium this summer.

The reports from the Mirror are saying that van Persie could be set for a move back to Arsenal after his unfriendly departure to Manchester United in 2012.

The Dutch current club, Fenerbahce, is ready to let him leave this summer as the newspaper quoted the club president Azil Yildririm saying,

“Van Persie? We’re waiting for buyers, if he wants to be sold.”

As according to the Independent, Van Persie smashed out against the Turkish team manager, Vitor Pereira, last February when he said he would not be able to help Fenerbahce if the team keeps on substituting him.

Still on the report from the Independent, it went on saying Van Persie wants to leave the Turkish with the Premier League his preferred destination, and the Dutch forward supposedly wants a return to the Emirates Stadium where he had spent eight years.

Same reports go on reporting that Crystal Palace and West Ham are both keen on signing the forward but the only reason why the media is linking him with Arsenal is because they claim that after his availability has been heard, Gunners fans have been calling on for their manager to bring him back to Arsenal.

Van Persie as we all know bagged 132 goals in his 277 appearances for the Gunners between 2004 and 2012 before he decide for a controversial move to Manchester United for £22.5m.

Despite the bitterness his move to the Red Devils provoked, Gunners fans have taken to Twitter; urging Arsenal to bring RVP after the team missed out on signing the Leicester City’s forward Jamie Vardy.

Since he joined the Turkish league runners-up for £4m last summer, he has notched up 45 appearances throughout the season and netted 20 goals in all competitions for the Turkish side. Here’s a look at each strike:

However, Van Persie his mow almost 33, well, his legs are well and truly gone and he can’t be compared to the way he was back in 2012. Never in one’s wildest dreams. We all know our team need another striker urgently this summer, but surely we’re not that desperately.
