Hitherto it's clear that the Gunners would want to be linked with a player capable of playing on either side of defence or midfield. To be more precisely, Wenger may need to address his squad's cover at full-back ahead of the new season.

Both Mathieu Debuchy and Kieran Gibbs are reportedly set for moves away from the Emirates. The former was linked with Lyon back in May, per TalkSport Meanwhile; Gibbs is set for a move to Liverpool, as according to Football Insider.

Losing both Gibbs and Debuchy would leave Arsenal worn-out behind Nacho Monreal and Hector Bellerin. Sidibe would likely be cover for both, per beIN Sports, who also described some of the player's core strengths.
Bringing in some cover for the back four would be a wise from the Frenchman, even though £12.8 million is somewhat not a wise decision fee for a reserve.
