Big decisions in cup week

The good news is I've made it to the first round of the fantasy football cup; the bad news is I don't know if to prioritise it or not.

I've looked at my opponent in the cup. His star player is Lloris, who is vice captain but captain by virtue of Sanchez's injury. I'm very tempted to buy Lloris and make him my skipper, as I really think Spurs will keep at clean sheet against Norwich at White Hart Lane on Boxing Day. I know the Canaries beat Man U last time out, but Spurs are arguably more difficult to break down right now. I know Lloris virtually threw two in the net against Newcastle, but I don't think they'll be a repeat performance of that. Anyway, if Lloris is my captain, I'm likely to get through to the next round.

Meanwhile, I've got a tough game in my head-to-head league. My opponent has Watford's Ighalo as captain. I've already got him in my squad, but what's the likelihood of him scoring away at Chelsea, especially now Gus Hiddink is in charge? I think there is a chance, as it's a local 'derby' and anything can happen. I do expect Chelsea to win, but will they keep a clean sheet? I wouldn't be surprised.

At the moment, my skipper is Lukaku. How likely is he to score away at Newcastle. More likely than Ighalo is to score at Chelsea, I'd say, but I need to win to stay at the top of my head-to-head league, so I'm tempted to switch the captaincy to Ighalo.

If I get the captaincy right, I reckon the rest of my team should see me through in both the cup and the league. Xmas fingers are crossed though!
