Come & have a go if you think you're Ardija enough!

Every team in the J.League probably thinks they're 'Ardija' enough to challenge Omiya, but the table-toppers laid down their title credentials in style at home to the reigning J1 champions, Hiroshima Sanfrecce. The hosts won 2-1 thanks to Takamitsu Tomiyama's brave header, which saw him leave the field injured. The player he collided with was even less fortunate: Sanfreece keeper Takuya Masuda. With just 6 minutes left on the clock, the referee was forced to add 20 minutes of injury time, but Omiya clung on to their victory.

Meanwhile, in J2, Vissel Kobe continued to show they're ready to bounce back to J1 at the first attempt, with a 2-0 victory over local rivals and the bookies' promotion favourites, Gamba Osaka.
