Rossi can’t rule out Roma move, but admits Inter admiration

Giuseppe Rossi could be heading to Serie A in January.

The former Manchester United youngster is currently contracted to Villarreal, where he is recovering from two cruciate ligament injuries over the past 18 months. Rossi hopes to be back in action in the near future, and he is already being lined with a move away from the Spanish club when the winter window opens in nine weeks.

A return to Italy looks like the most likely option for the Azzurri star, and he has been heavily linked with Roma. And although the 25-year-old is refusing to rule out a switch to the capital club, he also admits the prospect of heading to Internazionale is one he can’t ignore.

“My first goal is to return to the field of play as soon as possible,” Rossi told GrParlamento. “If that's in Spain or Italy, I don't know. I do not know if I will go to Roma. I just want to recover and be comfortable with my knee. Inter? Who would not like to play for Inter. They are a team that I like, with a project that continues to grow.”
