Henriquez can’t hide delight as he clinches Manchester United move

Angelo Henriquez has sealed his move to Manchester United.

The Reds have been keeping tabs on the striker for the past three years, but were unable to make an official move for him until this year due to his age. United have now completed a deal for the 18-year-old, who has joined for an undisclosed fee.

“I am thrilled to be joining the biggest club in the world,” he told the official club site. “Manchester United is a great team and has a great manager. To be able to be part of that is a huge honour and I can't wait to get started. I hope I can be part of many successful years with United."

Henriquez has been plying his trade in his homeland with Universidad de Chile since linking up with their youth team in 2007, and last season he scored 11 goals in 17 league games for their first team. He has been capped by Chile at U15, U17, U20 and U23 level, racking up a total of 21 goals in just 18 appearances.

The teenager could make his first team debut for United in the Capital One Cup clash with Newcastle United later this month.
