Tottenham Hotspur set to land Dembele in £15million swoop

Tottenham Hotspur have had a bid accepted for Moussa Dembele.

The Belgian international is in the final 12 months of his contract at Fulham, and he has been linked with a move away from the Craven Cottage club for much of the summer. And after his impressive start to the new season, a transfer was perhaps inevitable.

A number of Premier League clubs have been linked with the midfielder, who can play in a variety of positions, but the lack of concrete bids has been something of a surprise. This, though, is to Tottenham’s advantage, who now look set to land the 25-year-old.

Andre Villas-Boas has met the £15million release clause in Dembele’s contract, and the former AZ Alkmaar man is now set to undergo a medical and discuss personal terms at White Hart Lane. If all goes well, he could sign before the end of Wednesday and make his debut when Norwich City visit the capital on Saturday afternoon.
