Manchester City have no interest in Luiz, despite reports of £30million bid
Manchester
City have no interest in David Luiz.
Roberto
Mancini is keen to add another defender to his squad ahead of the 31 August
deadline, as he looks for his side to retain the Premier League crown whilst
making a telling bid to land the UEFA Champions League. As always, the Italian
coach is likely to be backed by his board, but he is finding it difficult to
bring in an extra body.

It has been
reported that the City boss has made a stunning £30million bid for Luiz, who
joined Chelsea from Benfica in a £25million deal back in January 2011. The 25-year-old
has established himself as a firm favourite amongst the Stamford Bridge crowd,
and he can operate in the heart of the back four or at right fullback.
However, it
is believed City have no interest in signing the defender, and are mystified as
to where the reports to the contrary emerged from.
