Bendtner holding out for Milan

Nicklas Bendtner is reportedly keen on a move to Milan.

The Denmark international has failed to establish himself in Arsenal’s first team, and spent last season on loan at Sunderland. A permanent move to the Stadium of Light has never been on the cards, but his future at the Emirates Stadium is bleak.

Robin van Persie’s exit would push him up the pecking order a notch, but Bendtner has also fallen down two places following the arrivals of Olivier Giroud and Lukas Podolski.

The 24-year-old is thought to have a series of demands when it comes to finding a new club, which include UEFA Champions League football, a guaranteed first team place, and regular visits back to London so he can see his family and friends. Most clubs would scoff at such a list, but reports in Italy claim Milan are actually interested in the striker.

Bendtner would see a move to the San Siro as the ideal outcome. It is believed he has now told his agent to establish just how serious the Rossoneri are, and if the signs come back positive, he will push for a move to the Serie A giants before the 31 August deadline.
